“Plush” involves a costume that has two pockets jutting from the hips of each performer. Each dancer's hands are trapped in these pockets throughout the entirety of the piece.

“Plush” explores the value and force of the erotic within discourses of sex positive and sex negative feminism. In particular, I developed the choreography for “Plush” to engage Audrey Lorde's poem “The Erotic as Power”.
