This series involves pneumatically activated forms. We used aluminum tubing, carbon fiber filament, and silicone bulbs to generate a language of contrasts and ambiguity, commercial standardization, and erotic energy. Using technologies from the nascent field of soft robotics, many of the works are programmed to inflate and deflate, pulsing with light and air, suggesting an uncanny territory between the industrial and the organic.
